Scientist III
Pay Rate: $69.70/hr.
JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
On a day-to-day basis, scientist is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex analytical experiments using HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FT-IR, Dissolution etc.
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Agilent LC and MS instruments using Agilent OpenLab and EMPOWER softwares.
* Ability to optimize methods, as well as analyze raw materials, intermediates, drug substance and drug product samples accurately in accordance with established methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performing experiments to support drug substance and drug product development and release of finished products.
* Analyze data acquired to draw conclusions based on statistical analysis and established quality control criteria.
* Document work in ELN in compliance with company procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
* Performing duties with commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to best practices is essential.
* Occasionally, coordination with service engineers and company facilities team to schedule maintenance of analytical instrumentation is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* No supervisory responsibilities required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry or related field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry.
* One to five years of chromatography experience in pharmaceutical analytical field is required.
* Knowledge and experience in developing and qualifying LC methods utilizing Agilent liquid chromatography instruments is desired.
* To be successful in this job, qualities such as willingness to learn, adaptability, and take on new challenges is essential.
* Good interpersonal skills, flexibility in a fast-paced environment and ability to work well within a team environment are essential skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
